suprise hospital visit

What a crazy weekend...we spent in the hospital..

It was truly sobering to know that God is in control of every SECOND of our lives. We are home now, and are taking it slow for a while. Paul will be on antibiotics for a month to make sure this bacteria is knocked out of his lung.  Continue to pray for healing...

Here's a series of updates that tells what all went on...

We went to a med clinic yesterday because Paul's persistent cough wasn't going away.. Turns out he has pneumonia.. Went back today to get another shot of antibiotic and they told him to go to the hospital because his X-ray seemed to show an... abscess on his lung.. He will have a CT scan in the morning to confirm abscess and drain fluid around the lung..so here we are.. Spending the night in a hospital..

On a lighter note, 10 months ago today we were in the opposite position(ms in hospital bed, him on rock hard sleeper sofa) at this exact hospital, on this exact floor, meeting our sweet P for the first time...

Life has it's ups and downs...and Christ carries us through every bit of it...

Pray

Paul has a cavitary lung lesion.. Waiting on cultures to come back for further explanation on what type of bacteria is in there.. PRAY

Still don't know what bacteria is in his lung.. So far nothing has grown, but it can take up to 72 hours.. Waiting to talk to lung specialist...

Dr. Just came in.. Said we need to come back in ten days to get another X-ray and see the lung specialist. Has to be on levaquin and amoxicillin at home for a month. Other Than that we are free to go! Getting our paper work ready for discharge!

We're home!  (9/12/10)
