18 weeks! and weekend summary

I can't believe it! 18 weeks already! I'll tell you this summer is surely flying by and every since I have been feeling well (around 12-13 weeks) I have had a GREAT summer...I pray that this continues and that Baby is healthy.

My appetite is also back up to par. I was a little worried that I wasn't getting enough nutrition this summer, as it's so hot and hard for me to eat. I saw a lady this weekend that is two weeks behind me and looked further along than I am. So, I got a little worried again, but I was assured that everyone grows differently and also that the muscles are a little tighter with your first child than they are with subsequent children. ( This is the ladies 6th child) I also saw a lady in my FitPregnancy magazine that was 8 months along and I look bigger than her now! So you just never know I guess.

Foods that sound AWESOME to me these days are: Grilled Chesse sandwiches (YUM), Decaf ICED coffee with a touch of soymilk, Sonic 99cent ice cream cones, BLUEBERRIES!
....man i have a watery mouth...

What my little munchkin is up to this week:

* 5 ½ inches long and weighs about 6 ounces

*During this week the baby will gain weight at an incredible pace! Now that all of the organs have developed, baby's body will focus on gaining weight and size.

*The baby’s inner ear has formed its bones and nerve endings from the brain have formed, hearing has become very acute.

*Baby can hear my heartbeat and the blood moving through the umbilical cord as well as my voice. how cute They will even try to cover their ears if they hear a loud sound!

*Baby becomes sensitive to light now, as the eyes are further developed and the brain is growing very fast

*Meconium, or the first bowel movement continues to accumulate inside the bowel

*Brown fat begins to cover the baby, so their skin appears less transparent

weekend update:

This past weekend we were able to go to Jackson to celebrate Paul's little brother's birthday~ Scott turned 22 on Saturday, so we had a little family get-together for dinner, homemade cookie cake, and presents.

Saturday we went to a crawfish boil with some new dear friends and I had so much fun meeting new people and talking with the ladies. That night we stayed with some friends in Bolton, on the farm, where we might be potentially living next year. Through this whole experience, I really feel the Lord's presence and am learning to totally trust in Him. I know that whatever the decision, I can rest in the fact that I am to submit to my husband, whatever his decision, as unto the Lord (Eph 5:22) and I do this because he watches out for my soul, as one who must give account (Heb 13:17)

It has been a freeing experience to rest that God will take care of us, as He says to Consider the ravens, for they neither sow nor reap, which have neither storehouse nor barn; and God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds? and also that we shouldn't seek what you should eat or what you should drink, nor have an anxious mind. For all these things the nations of the world seek after, and your Father knows that you need these things. But seek the kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added to you. “Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom." (Luke 12)

We found out that it was around 35 minutes from doorstep to doorstep from the place in Bolton to the Architecture building.

Please pray for Paul, as He makes the decision on where our family will move in a little over a month!
