A look into our home: HANDMADE

I've been wanting to share a little glimpse of our home to you guys for quite some time but....errr...it hasn't quite been picture ready, if you know what I mean.  With a little one, life can be quite messy..BUT.. I managed to do a little sprucing so I could give you a little peek into our 1000 sq. feet.

As I was taking these pictures, I was realizing how much in our home is handmade! Oh, how I love that.  It's partly because I have a VERY HANDY MAN, who looks at almost anything with an "Oh, I can make that!" look in his eye.  That's what I get for marrying an architect. (and it helps that we have very crafty friends that make us stuff too ;) ) He does let me splurge(at the thrift store) and buy some things vintage so that is in essence our look and feel for our home.

Welcome...Take off your jacket and stay a while....
armoir that Paul built and carved...
handmade blanket, handed down from my Mimi (miss her)
100% hand stitched quilt from MawMaw Wilson.
Quilt started by MawMaw Wilson that she gave to me to finish (how fun is that!)
Tie wreath, made from my Paw Paw Wilson's ties. The verse hanging from it is Proverbs 6:20-21 "My son, observe the commandment of your father and do not forsake the teaching of your mother; Bind them continually on your heart; Tie them around your neck."
This is our 8-10 seater table Paul built for us...but it is well used so...you get the bottom, the top is just never that clean to photograph...
Super awesome cross made by my 8 year old nephew, Jonah.  :)
Fence wood picture frame Paul made to display my wedding portraits....
Photo inside frame by: danielmeigs.com
Afghan my Maw Maw Wilson crocheted just for me on my 23rd birthday last year!
Family heirloom quilt given to me on my wedding day by my aunt...It's made by her aunt from pieces of her dresses growing up...
Handmade by Amy over at The Ragamuffin Stuff, "Piper" bunting!
Yet another cross we keep in Piper's room, made my Jonah
Bookshelf made by our dear friend, David. Check out his etsy here
